If you've been reading for a while...you may have picked up some hints that Angel and I didn't start out as a couple in the usual way. Instead of the flurry and excitement of dressing up for a first date and seeing where things went from there...we met at college and, after Angel graduated and moved away, began courting long-distance till he moved to my state two weeks before we got married. It was weird, I tell you, now that I think about it. We said, "When we get married..." to each other before we ever said "I love you." But I wouldn't trade my experiences for anything!
If you want the whole story, you're going to have to go visit Shaylee at Mother {at} Heart because I'm guest posting on her blog today!
Yay! I'm off to read... can't wait! :D
Ahhh excited to read your story!!
that's so interesting Rachel! I have a few friends who did similar things, but in their cases they also met the guy for the first time themselves, having been set up by others, got to know each other over the course of a few "dates" which were for the purpose of deciding if they were right for each other, and ending with a proposal if they thought it was meant to be!
Aw, very cute, I love stories of how people met! I'll definitely be checking out your guest post.
Rachel, again, thank you so much!!! I now have a whole slew of thoughts for this week's series of courtship vs. dating posts, and I am so excited! You are a sweetheart to do this for me, and I so appreciate it.
Because I just adore you so very much, I'm nominating you for an award on my blog tomorrow. Come check it out and accept it, when you can!
Love you, girl. Have a blessed Sabbath evening!
