School Day "Fashion"

What does one wear to school on the one day a week that we are allowed to wear any color we'd like? (Four days of the week we are constrained to black and white.) Clearly, my answer is, a navy and gray dress, purple jeans, and red ballet flats. Got to get those colors where you can!

And you don't need a wind machine to look like a model, you just need to live on the top of a hill where it's never not windy. Also, since life is busy, I recommend multi-tasking as much as possible, like, say, getting the mail while your husband takes pictures of you. (That explains the envelope in my left hand).

And meet Morphine, everyone! This is his first appearance on the blog, though we've probably had him about a month already. I'm not a huge animal lover, as you can probably tell by my expression, but Morphine is better behaved than his brother, whose name I'm not entirely sure how to spell, so he gets a little more favor from me. Don't worry, Angel plays with all the kittens enough for the both of us.

If you're wondering about the quotation marks in today's title, it's because I really can't think of myself and fashion in the same sentence. I just have fun with my own style, regardless of the latest trends. Which, by the way, include colorful jeans, which is good to know for me because I've been wearing bright green and purple jeans since 2007.

Morphine is such a cutie! I never understood the whole black and white thing for hairdressers. I'm not saying I don't love black, it's just strange to me that as an industry as a whole it was decided that it was their color.

Ha, I bet Angel named morphine. :) (is his brother oxycodone? vicodin?)
love all the color though! It'd be hard if I could only wear one color of scrubs... oh geez, I hope that never happens!

His brothers name is actually Narcan, which is the reversal agent for overdosed morphine.

I love that you went all OUT with the color!! And I can't believe you really name your kittens after drugs, that is completely hilarious.

I really like how you wore jeans with the dress! Stripes will always be one of my favorites prints and that shade of purple on those jeans is really pretty! Your cat is also really cute, and I LOVE the name! How original!
