Are you saying you don't pose with cows for your outfit pictures?
I know some of you might find this very strange. I have read so many other bloggers talking about how much they love yoga pants, or how they wish they could live in yoga pants, or how 'what I wore wednesday' forces them to not wear yoga pants any more. My classmates have started a big ruckus about yoga pants because some of the instructors are saying that it's against the dress code to wear yoga pants to school and others say that there's no specific mention of yoga pants in the school dress code.
I just don't like them. I don't like how they look, or the feel of that stretchy elastic around my waist, or how expensive a pair of yoga pants is. In my freshman year of college I had to take a dance aerobics class. I did have a pair of sweatpants from Goodwill in case I needed them, but the majority of the time...it was really annoying to walk to the gym and then change into sweat pants in the locker room, exercise, and then change back into normal clothes. So, I just wore jeans. It's possible to exercise in jeans. Trust me. Of course, I'm also not someone who is passionate about exercising, nor do I have any desire to go 'for a run.' My preferred exercise is ballroom dancing, and I wear dresses for that!
So, I just thought you ought to know--In addition to the rest of my oddities, I don't wear yoga pants. Never have...and maybe someday, I don't know, maybe when I'm older I'll change my mind and come to appreciate them, but jeans have always seemed really comfy to me. When I come home from school and I'm so sick of my black clothes, I change into a pair of skinny jeans for doing housework and cooking dinner.
So, if you see me around town--you might see me in a skirt. Or in dress slacks, or in jeans. But you won't ever catch me in yoga pants.
But I'm not offended if you wear them. If you haven't guessed it yet, you should know by now that I'm a big believer in wearing whatever you want to and pay little or no attention to fashion and its 'rules'.
Yay for wearing what you want to! Yoga pants are the comfiest things in the world to me, but to each their own :)
I am the same way with leggings and tights but i do love yoga pants:)
I thought I was the only one! I like yoga pants ok but I could live without them. I do enjoy exercise but you'll never catch me in sweats/yoga pants out on the town or running errands. Yay to jeans, dresses and slacks!
I feel that way about jeans. I wear them, cause, well, who doesn't, but I dont like things that are tight around my waist. But I made a no-yogapants-as-regular-clothes rule when I sneakily gained 15lbs wearing them for months. The problem is, yoga pants don't judge you, and when you are eating too much, too often, sometimes a little pants judging is needed! :)
I don't mind sweatpants when I'm having a lazy day around the house, but I absolutely refuse to wear leggings as pants. Under something is a completely different story, but I need something else covering my butt! I do have to admit that I tend to wear pajama pants once I'm in for the night...
Great outfit, Rachel. Love the polka dot dress.
I'm a jeans girl, too...I find them to be the most comfortable! I like yoga pants for late at night, watching a movie or for sleeping in...but I literally NEVER wear them out of the house. I might, if I actually was going to a yoga class...but I don't, so...I don't. I just can't wear sweatpants or yoga pants outside the house. I'd feel like I was just too lazy to get dressed that day! (And...that's honestly how I kind of view others who wear them all. the. time...too lazy to get dressed...I'm sure I'm just being judgmental, but...oh well, haha.)
I've started wearing jeans again instead of "yoga pants". I had the same problem as another reader...gaining weight. Those pants should really come with a warning stitched inside, "You don't know it...but you're getting heavier".
The first hint is if you stop wanting to wear jeans altogether and just want to wear yoga pants all the time. When I put on those magical stretchy pants I could breathe, and eat more. Now I'm on a strict diet of jeans and keeping my yoga pants only for workouts.

i agree - leggings and dresses are so comfortable!! but i still wear sweatpants or yoga pants at home quite a lot!!
I'm not a huge yoga pants fan either. I feel like they're just too tight and thin to wear without a SUPER LONG shirt! I prefer jeans over yoga pants any day! :)
Hey Rachel! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I think that's great that you're anti-yoga pants....it means that you probably look a lot more put together than most people all the time! I do like me some comfortable pants....but I try not to wear them out of the house. :)

You look adorable. I love your outfit!
I think jeans are one of the most uncomfortable things ever created, but I wear them anyway. I do think yoga pants are super comfy, but I try not to wear them too, too much. :-)

I am not a fan of yoga pants either. I'm a jeans or skirts girls.
Also, I love how playful this look is!
i agree! i am not a fan of the yoga pant myself but do rock a sweatpant in the house only! and yes... I always pose with cows in my WiW posts! Ha!
Cute outfit! I love the blazer.
I don't really own yoga pants. I'm either gym shorts or sweatpants, and sweatpants generally aren't socially acceptable out of the house. I do wear workout leggings a lot, but tend to do actual workouts in gym shorts. (I do not care for jeans :)
I like your outfit a lot!! Your coat is also lovely. Well, I love to wear comfortable alo yoga pants throughout my day. Even I love wearing them during my yoga class too. But anyway you have great choice of clothing and really looking amazing.
