I've heard people say that they think my life is like a fairytale. I'm going to be real with you. It's not. Because in all the Cinderella movies I saw, Prince Charming never had stubble.
Angel never really has a beard. And he rarely has a clean-shaven face, either. The truth is, I married a man who doesn't like to shave at any time of the year. I'm not sure why or even if he has a reason--Angel just isn't fond of shaving and doesn't seen any reason why he should shave every day.
As the one who kisses him, I can most certainly think of reasons why having a husband with a clean-shaven face every day would be nice, but oh well. I've never been a fan of beards or the scruffy look--I like the old movies where you see the likes of Gregory Peck and Jimmy Stewart shaving before dinner so that they looked presentable. I appreciate it when Angel shaves, but I do not retaliate by saying that I don't like shaving either so I won't do it. That just doesn't seem like a helpful thing to do, and besides, I want to be able to look at my own legs!
I've gotten used to this habit of my husband's, and I accept that my Angel and his 5 o'clock, or two day, or one week shadow will always be a part of my life. I think he usually shaves once every week or two, and I can talk him into doing it when we're getting pictures taken. Otherwise, I just kiss him a lot on the one day that he's not prickly.
Do your men shave?
I like the scruffy look, but it doesn't feel well on the face! I just sort of let my husband do whatever he feels at the time (unless I have a strong opinion about it) because I have such a hard time making decisions... ha ha. Well, I say that I like the smooth feel, but the rough and manly look from the scruff pretty much outweighs the scratches on my face...LOL
Hi there! New follower from the MNB Blog Hop! The stubble isn't so bad, but it is no shave november, so he should get cut some slack lol. Looking forward to getting to know you better through your blog!

Those first few days of not shaving are the worst but after my husband gets his beard grown in a little more I like it...he looks older too which is good since we both look no older than 12.
oh girl, I'm finding as our blog-ship (blogging friendship) grows that we disagree on one more thing - I love facial hair! haha. I totally need to show you a pic of my hubby :) he has grown his out quite a bit...I mean, it's not all hanging down like ZZTOP, but it keeps his face warm in the winter :) I vote FACIAL HAIR!!!!
Again, made my day. X)
Thank you for checking out my blog earlier! I have followed you back and can't wait to read more posts from you. This post is awesome! I vote for a little stubble! :)
I don't think I've *ever* seen my husband without facial hair...it's not quite a beard, but it's definitely longer than Angel's! I don't mind the chin stuff...but I hate it when he lets his "mustache" grow in because that crap HURTS!!!
my husband has a mustache and goatee. i've never liked facial hair at ALL but love makes you accept crazy things and i've grown used to it! but the scruff around it...if it hurts NO KISSES
Visiting from Mingle Monday-- I WISH my man would shave more often than he does. While I like the look of stubble, I hate the feel of it!!
I like some facial hair not much though!
My husband doesn't like to shave. His neck always breaks out when he does, so now he only shaves for the dentist, which I don't understand. When he does shave, I'm always surprised by how much a baby face he has. I like him with facial hair but it's SO scratchy.
hahaha! this post was great! :P personally, i think shaving is quite a hassle too. ;D another thing: as of now, my brother has grown his beard out and looks quite cute in facial hair. lol. my daddy on the other hand, shaves every morning. :)

I love a little 5 o'clock shadow!
Sebastian and I just had our engagement photos taken recently, and we tested out different days that he would go without shaving so we'd get the right amount of stubble for our photos. Hahahaha. I think it was about 2.5 days and it was perfect :)
I cannot stand it if my man doesn't shave. Two days max is all he gets or I turn mean! I do reward with lots of kisses but he knows he's not getting any if he's got stubble!;)
Thank the good Lord my husband is not a fan of beards. I think you've read my thoughts on facial hair, but if not, here is the link: http://hopeengaged.blogspot.com/2012/06/top-ten-reasons-why-men-love-facial.html
have a great day girl!! love Katie
Personally I like facial hair on brad-but just alittle stubble! I like a couple days but after that I can't stand it! It's like a porcupine stabbing your cheeks!-ouch. haha
The issue with shaving is that a detailed concentration has to go into it all the time. It requires precision and fine cutting techniques and performing this everyday does get a little burdensome. It's about the quality of shaving verses the quantity in a women's legs.
I love my husband's beard, especially when it gets really long, I love the artsy look :) I do like him to keep it trimmed up around the edges, the wild mountain man look only works for me for so long!
haha, you'd think he'd get the hint and shave more if you kiss him more on those days. ;) mo's hair isn't TOO prickly, but he does tend to have stubble most of the time (doesn't care for shaving either). When he DOES, I love the way his face feels and smells from his aftershave so I probably kiss him more those days too.
Rachel! I just saw this post, and had to laugh cause I wrote one similar about my husband's facial hair back in September of 2013! http://swagonmomma.blogspot.com/2013/09/men-with-facial-hair-handsome-or.htmlI I agree with Veronica, I like facial hair on my husband, cause it makes him look his age, instead of this baby head on an adult body. Ha. As for me, I very much hate shaving my legs, but I still do once or twice a week. In the winter, it's... less...haha. I wear long socks and boots a lot. :) But I shave my armpits almost everyday...armpit hair gives me the heebiejeebies.
