Anniversary Surprises

 So, first things first. Angel bought me a pretty new dress.

Second, it turned out that Angel's plan for our anniversary had been to take me on a mini road trip to Great Wolf Lodge! In case you don't know what Great Wolf Lodge is (like I didn't), it's a large hotel with awesome Christmas decorations (probably not all year long) that includes an indoor waterpark. We have no pictures of the indoor waterpark, due to the fact that cameras and water don't mix well, but we especially loved the hot tub and the slides.

Angel reserved the cheapest room they had...but since we were there during a very non-busy time, they gave us a free upgrade to a room with a fireplace, jacuzzi, and four poster bed! Clearly, we didn't say no to the free upgrade.

So, Angel's surprise to me was our destination for the night, but I had a surprise for him too.

It was wrapped in a Bisquick box because I practice what I preach.

What was inside made Angel laugh so much that his face hurt, which was the reaction I was going for, so that's a good thing. 

Remember, people. The traditional gift for 2nd anniversaries is cotton. Given that fact, and the fact that my sister works at a t-shirt printing shop, personalized t-shirts for Angel was the obvious outcome for this year's present.

"Locked Down for Life" is Angel's favorite description of marriage.

Now I have the whole year to come up with something made of leather to give Angel for our 3rd anniversary. That should be an easy one.
