Behind The Scenes of Fashion Blogging in Winter

I think it's well-known by now that I'm pro-clothing. I wear it everyday and get a whole lot of joy out of it, too. I'm not a fashion blogger but you often see me wearing clothes on this blog, too. Because that's the kind of person I am. I wear clothes.

Like real fashion bloggers, I've found that taking pictures outdoors always tends to work better for capturing a good picture, because there's more light outside and trees and leaves and stuff are prettier than bookshelves and kitchen tables and stuff.

However, there is such a thing as winter. Winter means that you cannot stand outside in normal cute clothes, but can only stand outside in outfits involving snowsuits and/or winter jackets. Some fashion bloggers seem to be unaware of this, and continue taking pictures of pretty outfits in the middle of the snow.

I would never do such a crazy thing. However, I was inspired to imagine what an outdoor fashion shoot in the snowy, below-freezing world might look like from a behind-the-scenes perspective.

So, that's how I imagine how cold-weather modeling photo shoots really go. I like warmth too much to ever try it, though, so I'm pretty sure that if I post any outfit posts this winter, the pictures will be shot indoors.

Hahahah - have you ever watched America's Top Model? I mean, years ago, before it was ridiculous and crazy. They did this all the time - photo shoots in the freezing cold, with immediate electric blankets and hot tea afterward! Haha!

It would never even occur to me to take the pictures outside. Fashion just wouldn't exist for the winter months.

It was worth it! Those pictures are adorable!

I hear ya Rachel. If I'm on the way out I'll have someone snap a few pics but I'm mostly inside too!

Cute outfit! Are you wearing leggings or tights? Either way, they look great against the white of skirt and the boots.

Ha! Too funny. I totally hid from the cold with this week's outfit. I agree that outdoor photos generally turn out better, but I'm just a wimp about the cold. :)

Also, your outfit is fun & cute. :)

Love the outfit! And I totally moved my outfit photo location indoors when it got cold outside. ;) I am a Southern girl. We don't believe in being cold. ;)

Very cute! I love the story behind the photo! You are very clever and make me laugh about the problem of living where the snow interferes with those outside shots!

Blog hopping and I agree, outside pictures are better - glad you wear clothes when you are out there! Have a fantabulous weekend.

I agree. Lots of those outfits are nowhere near warm enough for winter. I get cold standing outside for too long while wearing my coat, gloves, a hat, and a scarf.

That's exactly how it goes. I do not consider myself a fashion blogger. I consider myself a "I got dressed today in something other than jeans and a sweatshirt and here's the proof" kind of blogger.
I take 2 pictures and get inside as fast as I can.

But. I always have the same question for fashion bloggers...WHO takes your pictures???

The lace at the back really helps fit the dress to your body and for a white dress it makes you look as slim as it gets. The trail is gorgeous too. If you are looking to save money on it, this is a good choice

Its basically all about trendy accessories and that is what women bother the most which is a good thing because fashion should be the one that is in trends.
