Butterfly Dress

Yes, my bracelet is made of forks. It's awesome.

So, here's the deal on the dress I wore for our Christmas Eve candlelight service. eShakti offered to allow me to choose anything from their website, and said they would send it to me for free if I would agree to review it for all of you. Of course, given my love for dresses, I jumped at the offer! I perused their website with dedication in order to pick my top favorite dresses, but I let Angel have the final choice. He picked this one, which I think is a little different from what I might normally wear.

However--I'm also not sure that "normal" applies to any of the outfits I wear on a daily basis, so perhaps this was a very fitting choice.

eShakti offers custom sizing as well as sleeve and length alterations. I didn't choose custom sizing because the measurements that went along with eShakti's size 0 were exactly what I needed. We could have opted to have the dress made to knee length or shorter--Angel actually said he wanted the longest version of the dress (note: that's a very odd thing for him to want. Usually it's the shorter the better. Men, you know.). And I love it! I feel like a character from a 50s TV show while I'm wearing it (to me, that's a good thing).

What I really appreciate about eShakti is that so many of their dress styles already have or can be modified to have sleeves. I'm just not a spaghetti strap or sleeveless dress kind of girl. I'll wear them....but I just don't think armpits look pretty, and typically, if I'm going to wear a dress without sleeves I'll wear a jacket on top or a t-shirt underneath, which works, but I like it when the dresses come with sleeves in the first place.

Angel will have to watch out, now, because I could see myself in this dress, or this one, or even this one!

awesome. I got a dress too and I like it, unfortunately my body type isn't great for it (or any dresses). my review is pending because it had a hole in the seam and I'm seeing if they will replace it!

I love how the top of the dress is like a shawl ... or a cape. I have a cape addiction. I seriously almost bought a tree skirt at TJ Maxx, thinking if I fastened it with a brooch, would anyone REALLY know?
