1. It's A Wonderful Life. If you don't cry at any point during this movie, your heart is probably made of stone. Angel has even teared up at some points. But the last time I watched this epic tale of the life of George Bailey...I cried from pretty much the moment the movie began until after it ended.
2. Prince Caspian. The version that came out in 2008 ends with a horrible goodbye scene set to "The Call" by Regina Spektor. My mom says that I cried for a good 15 minutes after we left the theater, saying, "Narnia is real! It is!" over and over again.
3. The Impossible. It's a movie about the December 26, 2004 tsunami. How could I not cry?
4. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. This may seem like an odd movie to include in this collection, but the scene when Elizabeth betrays Captain Jack Sparrow and leaves him to die bravely and be eaten by the Kraken is one of the most poignant scenes in film history. Or maybe I'm just biased.
5. Shutting Detroit Down by John Rich
6. This Ain't Nothin' by Craig Morgan
7. Home by Blake Shelton. (Obvious choice for me--how many times a day do I think about wanting to go home??)
8. Crying for Me by Toby Keith
9. I Miss my Friend by Darryl Worley
10. A Woman Like You by Lee Brice. This one is, hands down, my favorite song in all of country music. Basically, the most perfect love song ever.
Well I bet you didn't know I was such a crybaby...or such a country music fan.
What good movies or songs out there make you cry? I'd love to watch them!

whaaaaaaaaaaaaatttttttttt? WOW! *danceydancedance* I won :)
You know what makes me cry? Songs by Stephen Curtis Chapman, especially that CD he wrote when his adopted daughter was killed in a car accident. I just cry buckets.
Also, I am a big sloshing bucket of tears. My poor husband seems bewildered at times!
I also cry a little excessively. The song "Letters From War" by Mark Schultz gets me every time.
"Here's the thing."??? I know where that's from now! And....good post. Mom's crying - with you.
I cry on all commercials about dogs or animals in need. Or any animal that has been neglected or hurt and pretty much anytime I see anyone else crying. Basically I'm a walking faucet.

I don't think I can ever be accused of crying over a country song. :) Or any song, really. Except I did cry during Anne Hathaway's performance of Dreamed and Dream in Les Mis. I had to suck it up so I didn't go into my ugly cry. LOL. But I do cry at the end of almost every movie and during any powerfully inspirational moment {like families reunited with military dads, hardships turned successes, our national anthem, award ceremonies, and any and EVERY photographic slideshow which includes my children and is set to songs like Somewhere Over the Rainbow}. I'm a wreck.. :)
P.S> this was a terrific post, my dear!
That scene in Dumbo where he comes to see his mom in jail and they play that song "Baby of Mine" makes me a basketcase. And I don't care if that makes me weird. :P
ah yes letters from war by shultz...totally agree Steph!
These are some good ones...one movie that always makes me cry but is SO darn beautiful is the Painted Veil...LOVE IT
Woman Like You is probably my favorite country song, too! "I love the sound of your name" is my favorite line and I am known for making everyone in my car be quiet and I crank the stereo so I can sing it at the top of my lungs everytime it's on!
Girl, I am also a crier!! Anything and everything can set off the water works. I think we all keep Kleenex in business. :)
i cired during Impossible like 234872389472397 times ha! stopping by from the blog hop! your blog is super cute =] cant wait to read more! xo
My husband makes fun of me, because I cry whenever "The Christmas Shoes" comes on. I'm just glad that it's only in December! I think that counts as a country song!
I am such a baby. It's a Wonderful Life gets me every year. And that Blake Shelton song. I usually can't listen to it all the way through
Loved reading this list.
Honestly, I didn't cry emotionally until I was sixteen. The first movie to make me tear up was Shadowlands--the story of C.S. Lewis meeting the love of his life and losing her to bone cancer. There's a scene towards the end where he breaks down sobbing with his stepson, and nothing makes my tear ducts water like a man in tears.
I've never sobbed in a movie though... I've often wished I could. It seems very freeing. The most you'll get from me are half a dozen silent tears and these weird shudders.
I don't really know any songs that have made me cry .... Close, maybe but not really there ....
Thanks for sharing! :)
Interesting - I felt the goodbye scene in Prince Caspian was ruined by that song. I was just starting to feel sad when the music started, and that killed the mood for me.
This is a great idea for a blog post! I haven't The Impossible yet but I really want to. Instead of telling you everything that makes me cry, I will probably use it as a blog post topic, too, and then you can just read my post ;)
Aww such a good post! I don't know much about country music so I'm gonna have to have a listen to these!
I cry at everything these days, but ET going home and the end of the movie In America never fail to have me sobbing. Also "One day in your life" by Michael Jackson and "The living years" by Mike & The Mechanics always make me sob too!
I found you through the blog hop, I'm following :)

I always cry at the poem scene in 10 Things I Hate About You - sad, eh?
LOOOOOVE ALL OF THE SONGS YOU POSTED... ESPECIALLY THE LEE BRICE ONE! :)
Love country music!!!! I especially love This Ain't Nothin'. As far as songs that make me cry, it's usually American Soldier, Driving with Private Malone, Have You Forgotten, and lots of others....depending on my mood. :) And yes, It's A Wonderful Life is my all-time favorite movie and I cry even at the happy parts. Other than that, a good M*A*S*H episode always unleashes tears.
Thanks for the post!
