Icebreaker Friday
Today's Question: What is the cheapest gasoline price that you can remember?
No political commentary intended. I've just found this to be a fun question in the past--you can usually tell the different generations of people and the places that they lived by how cheap they can remember gas being!
Rachel: I remember once, only once, I saw gas that was under a dollar. It was 99 cents in Bowling Green, KY.
Angel: The cheapest I can remember is $1.60. I remember going into the gas station and giving the cashier $9 and getting a good amount of gas for that much money.
(My assumption is that the reason that I can remember cheaper gas than Angel can even though he's seven years older was because he lived in California and I lived in Kentucky.)
I remember 99 also! My mob remberes 52 cents and my grandfather 23 cents a gallon.
I honestly at this point cannot remember. Now that we are in the UK I have not driven in two years so I dont even know what petrol would be in England.

I can remember it being right under a dollar too.
$.68. In high school at Quick Trip!
There was this gas station grand opening in my tiny town growing up and they had a sale- gas for 99 cents and personal size pizzas for 99 cents. :) best weekend ever.
man. i used to be able to fill my car up for $13, when i was 18.
Haha I've seen it at .99 on the way to Vegas! :)
Oh gosh, gas was about $2.00 when I started driving and that's about all I can remember.
when I started driving it was less than a dollar!
The cheapest I remember was $1.12 in San Diego, CA back in 1998!
$0.99?? wow. those would be the days. i really don't remember cheap gas...

I remember it being like 59 cents back in the day! Although, when I was in high school it was probably $1something. I would only put $10/week, and I wouldn't even use it all!
How long did you live in Kentucky? That's where I live!
I remember it being $1.43 in 2004. I know it was cheaper than that. The only reason I remember is I wrote that in my senior book.
I don't remember exactly, but I know it was under 2.00. I could fill up 10 gallons with a 20 dollar bill and still get change.
