Icebreaker Friday

Today's Question: What is the cheapest gasoline price that you can remember?

No political commentary intended. I've just found this to be a fun question in the past--you can usually tell the different generations of people and the places that they lived by how cheap they can remember gas being!

Rachel: I remember once, only once, I saw gas that was under a dollar. It was 99 cents in Bowling Green, KY.
Angel:  The cheapest I can remember is $1.60. I remember going into the gas station and giving the cashier $9 and getting a good amount of gas for that much money.

(My assumption is that the reason that I can remember cheaper gas than Angel can even though he's seven years older was because he lived in California and I lived in Kentucky.)

  12. I remember it being like 59 cents back in the day! Although, when I was in high school it was probably $1something. I would only put $10/week, and I wouldn't even use it all!

  13. How long did you live in Kentucky? That's where I live!

I remember it being $1.43 in 2004. I know it was cheaper than that. The only reason I remember is I wrote that in my senior book.

  14. I don't remember exactly, but I know it was under 2.00. I could fill up 10 gallons with a 20 dollar bill and still get change.
