Do you have traditions when it comes to your clothing?
I have a few. This dress, for example, is my traveling dress. I always wear it on road trips. It's the most perfect road trip dress. It's loose and comfortable. It's made of jersey material, so if I spend the entire road trip curled up into a little ball of sleepy-ness, it does not wrinkle. When it's chilly out, this dress looks great worn with leggings, but when it's too warm for leggings, this dress isn't so short that I feel naked without them.

On this occasion, I didn't wear the dress for a road trip, exactly, but it kind of felt like one. We went on an outing to a drive-in theater about 40 minutes away, so we were spending a lot of time in the car. The movies don't start showing until after the sun goes down, so we didn't make it home till 1:30 in the morning. (Who says married people don't party all night?)
(To tell the truth, I fell asleep before the end of the movie. But Angel must have been awake, after all, we both made it home alive! I do love the drive-in. It's fun to bring a whole bunch of snacks. We may not have brought quite enough though, because I'm pretty sure that the reason I fell asleep was because the snacks ran out.)
So, what are your apparel traditions? Do you have any outfits that you have a habit of wearing for certain occasions?

That dress is so cute! And I love love all the green in your pictures!! Also your hair is so curly and cute.
Wow! I love this dress! It looks phenom on you! Hugs from Cali! xx The Golden Girls
Super cute dress! I don't really have traditions for clothes. I like the idea though. I'll have to do a closet check and see what new traditions I can start.
This dress is so cute and I love it with the boots! I don't have any clothing traditions, but I do tend to wear a few select items in my closet over and over cause they are my favorite!
I'm the person in sweatpants on a plane. In Alaska, it was sweatpants and fuzzy boots because it was like 16 hours of air time from the east coast. Gym shorts are my go-to, but I try to wear real clothes these days since I'm back in the real world and people here don't live in Carharts (shudder).
You reminded me that I need a new jean jacket!
Cute dress!!! I always wear my moccasins when flying...they slip on and off easily, and they feel like I'm wearing slippers. So even though Isaiah and I typically "dress up" a bit (not REALLY, but we like to look nice when we fly) I still have my comfy shoes on.
Oh yes! I'm like you. I have a go to dress that is comfy with boots and a jean jacket or cardigan. Love this look. Cute bloggy.

That's so fun that you have a dress specifically for road trips. :-) Drive in movie theaters are the best! Going to the one near us is on my summer bucket list. :-)
What a cute dress! Great color on you, and perfect with the jacket and boots :)
I have this pair of herringbone shoes. I've taken them on every big trip with me. They've been to china, vietnam, cambodia, thailand, dominican republic, the UK, New York and all over. They got a little ruined in Cambodia when the glue started coming off...Perhaps I'll re glue them and keep taking them on adventures.
I love the dress/denim/boot combo! What a great, fun outfit!!! This is by far one my favorites of yours!
Cute dress! At this stage, I wear whatever fits...haha, but I do love a good pair of capris jeans...I just feel so comfortable in them!
I do love wearing dresses for long car rides! I haven't ever been to a drive in movie--but I kind of feel like I might fall asleep too!
That is a sweet dress. Pretty shade of pink.
Here in Pakistan, we have many traditional clothing. You gotta wear embroidery and bright colours on weddings and birthdays to show off your happiness ;)
When I was in high school, I had a shirt that I wore to every concert I went to (rock concerts, not orchestral-types). It wasn't intentional at first, it was just the "edgy-coolest" shirt I had so I wore it to my "edgy-cool" events, and then once I realized it (three or four concerts in?) I did keep wearing it intentionally. These days, I dress indulgently on days that are going to be difficult -- my favorite lingerie or a lovely thick pair of socks, things to make me feel good. I have my boards exam in a month, and have already decided that the 9-hour exam merits my deliciously fuzzy cashmere sweater.
dresses like that a perfect traveling outfit!
I don't really have an outfit for things ... I just tend to throw on whatever I feel like, mostly it's jeans.
Cute outfit! You have a drive-in 'close' to your house, how cool is that!
Great traveling outfit. I wear dresses for summertime travel too. Your jacket tops it off beautifully and the boots look cute!
blue hue wonderland
I definitely tend to wear certain clothes more for travelling, etc. Great laid back look! :) Happy weekend!!!

Cute dress! I love how you paired it with the boots and denim jacket. Totally rustic and chic. =)
