If I Were on Television....

I was highly, highly attracted to this news anchor desk at a local children's museum. Just put me in front of the camera and I'm happy!

If you could be on any TV show, which one would it be?
I shall pick two.

#1 Jeopardy. Because I love playing Jeopardy from the couch and I'm fairly good at random info. Though, of course, if I were on the show, the categories would all be on random info that I don't know anything about.

#2 The Amazing Race. Angel and I watched this show regularly for two seasons, and it looks like quite the adventure! Between the two of us, Angel and I know enough of languages spoken in Asia and South America that I figure we'd have a communication advantage, and I decided that I can assign him to all tasks involving dexterity and physical strength, while I'd do the language, culture, and generally more academic-type challenges. Problem is, I'm not a very good swimmer and I can't really drive a stick shift, both of which seem to be useful skills on that show. Angel insists that if he were to do The Amazing Race he would not have me as a partner....I'm trying to convince him that brains are just as good as brawn. In certain situations.

And Angel's pick is:

WipeOut. Why, I don't know. This would probably be on my top #1 list of tv shows I would never, ever want to be on. Right up there with Survivor and the Bachelorette. Eww. Miserable. But he thinks it would be fun.

What TV competition would you want to try your hand at? Or do they all sound like torture?

I´d choose Jeopardy too although I´d be too nervous to answer most of the questions even if they´re easy, hahaha! :)

I would totally be on Bear Grylls survival show!
I also just LOL'd at the thought of Angel being on Wipeout. that show cracks.me.up.

I don't think I'd do well on any shows. I seem to seize up when I know cameras are rolling. I had several chances to be on our local TV station (to promote my scrapbooking lines) and paid someone else to do it for me. I just thought I'd be too scared and want to throw up.

peppy and i have often talked about applying for the amazing race. i think we would make an awesome team. he could do all the tall challenges, and i would eat all the gross stuff.

I would totally want to be on some kind of anime. or in the twilight zone :)

I love the idea of being on Amazing Race! Although I probably would not make it far because I neither have the communication nor physical skills haha. & I don't think I could do Jeopardy either. Although I do know some answers, I don't know enough haha. Except for that one time they had a Harry Potter category....

I would do Wheel of Fortune. I'm pretty good at it;)

Oh man, I haven't a clue what show I'd be on. Except maybe Wheel of Fortune, because word games are my favorite. I'd also probably be fine on some type of survival show...there was one where these people had to trek across Denali National Park up here in Alaska in the wintertime and hunt for their food and such, and it looked hard but also like the type of thing you accomplish and are proud of yourself for basically the rest of your life...

Ooo... My oldest brother and I think we'd do so well as a team on The Amazing Race! If only we had time to actually pursue getting on the show! :-)

I think if I were going to be on TV I'd pick one of those reality shows where they just film your life, I'd love to see how ridiculous I looked doing some of the things I do. haha.

your blog is such an interesting and fun read. I would love to do the wipe out challenge, but not on tv. I used to love watching blockbusters, I can imagine you would be good at that! :-)

I can answer everything for Jeopardy as long as I'm staying home. Seriously, I think they will have hard ones if I'm on the show!

Most reality TV seems pretty excruciating, and the ones I like are for talents I just don't have (like dancing or fashion design). I totally kick butt on teen jeopardy week though haha.

I wold LOVE to be on wipe out. Just for the fun of it. I really really want to be on the Amazing Race but I can't get anyone to try out with me. Something about it being irresponsible to take 6 months of your life for a tv show or something.

I've always wanted to be on Jeopardy, but also figured when I'm on it, would no nothing about the categories. HAHA Wipe-Out - that's the show my boyfriend wants to be on too. I don't get it, the point is really to make the contestants look stupid. But he's convinced he could win.

What a fun question! I would love to be on Masterchef but apparently you have to possess superior cooking skills. Still, those kitchens and the thrill of cooking and not having to clean up my mess! My husband and I used to argue about whether I would "survive" Survivor so I wouldn't mind being on that to prove him wrong.

oh my gosh, I feel the same about jeopardy! I love it and i am so good at it when i'm home alone, but I just know if I was actually on the show I would probably end up standing there like a deaf mute.

I would love to be on Jeopardy! I've taken the online test a couple of times. It's hard!

I love your new look. Angi does great work :)

I would pick The Amazing Race, too! Several people have told my husband and I that we should go on that show.

I love the topic of this post :). I actually live about ten minutes away from where they actually film Wipeout and I (without letting him know) signed up my husband for the show. Now they won't stop calling him. Oops! I just thought it would be funny :)

Jeopardy! I've tried out twice. Come on, Trebek, I could be the next Ken Jennings!

Love the new layout! My vote would be on Jeopardy. I also use to love the Weakest Link. Is that show still on??

The amazing race looks like so much fun, I'd also choose it! And I definitely think that brains and level thinking, as well as the communicative aspect, are more important than physical strength!

I would love to be on Jeopardy too! I'm sure I'd win a ton of money because I am fantastic at it when I watch from my living room! :)

My mom and I were considering signing up for The Amazing Race before I had my son, but it would definitely have been an incredible experience! I think mine would have to be Wheel of Fortune just because I'm utterly obsessed with game shows and that's one I've been watching for as long as I can remember.

Oooh, Amazing Race is fun and one of those reality shows that isn't trashy. :)

I think I'd do Survivor (I'd probably get voted off early, though, because I am NOT nice when I am hungry). :)
