Know it All

 Our expressions crack me up.

Did you know that if you have a laptop so new that it doesn't have to be plugged in every second or else it will die, it will stay alive for hours while you type away on it in the car? Fastest drive to visit my grandparents ever.

Did you know that Frontera salsa is addictive? Angel and I discovered it in the Chicago airport, of all places, and it easily outpaces all of my other previously favorite salsa brands. Too bad it's expensive. Why is all the good stuff expensive?

Did you know that high heels are really uncomfortable? Oh wait, of course you knew that. Everybody knows that. I'm really starting to wonder whether they are even worth it. Ever. So, the latest trend for fall and winter is sneakers and boots with dresses, forever and ever, so shall it be written, so shall it be done.

Today, I'm over on the QUITE Magazine website. So you may go read that if you'd like. Backstory: This article was inspired by a couple I read about who'd been married 50 years and were still attending marriage retreats. I think if I'd been married 50 years I would certainly be arrogant enough to think I knew it all....but maybe it takes age and experience like that to humble you enough to realize that you'll never know everything there is to know.

Ah how long has it been since I've been able to have my laptop NOT plugged in? *sigh* you have tasted the good life there!

HA those expressions...amazing. I can hear the conversation in my head.

Angel: WHAT are you writing?
You: *muahahahaha*

I love how heels look...but I honestly don't love wearing them. I've only had one comfortable pair of high heels in my life (besides boots, because boots are always comfortable) and they're almost worn out. So...this winter...boots. Forever and ever, amen.

Headed to read your article!

Ha! My computer is definitely on that last stage where it needs to be plugged in every 10 minutes. Super annoying!

My computer is one that needs to be constantly plugged in or it will die. Annoying.

Boots and flats forever and for always!

The one thing I can't live without are boots. Wait, there are some other things as well but telling you would go far beyond the scope.
Have a lovely day.

I have a love hate relationship with heels. I love how they look but hate how they feel. Boots and I get along quite well however.

Off to read your other post : )

Did you know my boyfriend is as short as I am so I NEVER have to wear heels? It's AMAZING.

I love your new blog design! I just got a new laptop too after having to live with the blue screen of death for almost a year- I'd forgotten what its like to have a perfect laptop when the battery lasts for absolutely ages.:)

my husband always steals my laptop cause his battery dies the moment it's unplugged. I think the bad battery is much more of an inconvenience to me than him.

Hi Rebecca, thanks for stopping by Patti Cake! Delightful blog you have here as well! Interesting thought on the couple that have been married for over 50 yrs. Humbling indeed. (Oh and yes, the anthro dress is very fun to wear!)

I tried so hard to stick with the heels because I'm so short but, alas, I have decided they are not worth it! I don't care how I look! My back aches! So I went and bought some "comfortable" shoes, which I like to call "teacher" shoes because that's what they look like (and coincidentally, that's what I am) and my husband says they look like Mickey Mouse shoes... Oh well. lol

Yes high heels are not good on the long run. Its always advisable to have a pair of flats in the car, and use those stilettos where it is absolutely essential :-)

I can't remember the last time my laptop wasn't unplugged for more than 20 minutes. Love your new blog design!

Now I want to try that salsa...

And I HATE high heels. I only wear them when I have to.

That's cool that you're posting for a magazine! And the laptop thing, I KNOW! Mine has to be plugged in after a half an hour, so it's like magic when I get to use my husbands.

I just got a new laptop, so I'm in that "hours of battery life" heaven as well.
I love wearing heels, while I'm sitting. Once I have to walk or stand, those things have got to go.
