Snow Day: Edited vs. Unedited

This weekend, instead of taking the easy (and sensible) route of cuddling on the couch under a huge pile of blankets and watching movies, Angel and I ventured into the bleak world of our backyard for some sledding (see? Adventure!). In a cropped and filtered version, this is what that adventure looked like:

Ain't we cute, sitting on a toboggan in the middle of the snow. You can't even see my 20-year old men's coverall which I swear is the BEST way to be out in the snow forever without feeling a chill. However, in the spirit of:

I will share with you a 1 minute and 23 second unedited bit of our snow adventure. Warning: This is not a vlog. Angel prefers to take videos over pictures, and for that reason someday our kids will have lots of very shaky random home movies of their parents when they want to know what we were like as kids. Here's the truth. I hope you're not prone to seasickness.

What do you think of Angel's videography skills? "This is my foot" was the part where I cracked up...

Whoa snow! I have never seen more than a flurry (in the mountains in midwinter). Looks like you had a lot of fun :)

hahah that's a great video! Videos are definitely more fun to review after the years have gone by compared to pictures though, but both have a magical quality to 'em. :)

Oh my goodness! I cracked up at the flying cat. Like I was thinking "Surely he isn't going to throw him!" And then I let out a very loud audible gasp followed by laughing. Good thing I am home by myself right now... You two are crazy and so great!

MORPHINE CAN FLY!!! Hahahahah. That's totally something my husband would do. He's always throwing the cat onto the couch from across the room. And yet the cat still loves him...I don't get it.

What a winter wonderland! Haha "I hope you're not prone to seasickness" is so funny. The photo of you and Angel is too precious--love the hint of blue peeking out in your hair. The video is so fun!

i like the idea of making videos to remember the adventures -- reveals a lot more about the moment than a photo :) the two of you always look like you're having such a good time :)

lol, I think Angel may want to stick to whatever he is currently studying in school because his video skills aren't exactly top notch. My poor neck has a crick in it from trying to follow the camera...

That's a lot of snow! I bet you two are a lot of fun to hang around! We haven't played in the snow even once this year despite how much we've gotten. It's just too darn cold and we're too darn lazy! (Haha-ing at the "flying cat"!)
