A Threat

I may not look very threatening.

But I'm serious about this.

If spring doesn't come soon...and I mean real spring, with blooming flowers and 60+ degree temperatures...

I am going to revolt by wearing only the craziest of clothes and completely mis-matched layers until it is warm enough to wear the spring dresses that I love.

I'm serious, clown shoes and all.

I'll keep you guys updated on whether or not this works.

What's your favorite strategy for persuading the weather to bend to your wishes?

Haha I love you Rachel, you're too funny :-)
I have caught myself yelling at the skies to "stop raining right this minute, STOP IT!!" - but it doesn't work very well.
Let me know if your threat is more successful!

My theory is to ignore it and it will go away - but people on my facebook feed refuse to shut up! ;)

We're actually supposed to have Spring weather all this week, and I could not be more excited about it!! :)

BEST OUTFIT EVER. Spring is either coming, or you've scared it away with that sweet get-up, LOL!

I'm soooo over this cold weather as well! I literally spent almost 2 hours on pinterest looking at pretty spring flowers and summer beach photos to get my mind off the cold weather haha.

Hehe good idea! I think it's supposed to be a little warmer this week...so I think your strategy worked!

Kate @ Another Clean Slate said...

I'd be willing to help out with this cause!

Haha, I'm not sure how effective your strategy is, but it's worth a shot, right??

It's supposed to be Spring but the temperature dropped to the 40's and it rained and snowed a wintry mix yesterday - Saturday just cold rain.. B-E-A-utiful. I'm highly disappointed. I was supposed to visit my sister 2 hours away in the boonies to celebrate my nephews 2nd birthday and my nieces 11th.. fail. No cake for me. I feel cheated!! Happy Monday Rachel!! -Iva

I'd say that's a great plan! :)

You are brave!! I guess because I don't have to battle horrible temps and weather, I have no strategy. I mean, I remember one summer that not only was I depressed but pretty much for the whole summer, June gloom turned into the whole summer gloom. And that doesn't happen in San Diego. Since then, the depression and the clouds have parted, for the mean time. Thankfully! I hope your strategy works though :)

Good idea Rachel, lets see if it works!!! My finger are crossed!

I'm right there with you about it needing to be spring. I don't think this is how I'm going to handle it though. ;-)

Hahahaha I love your attitude. We have warmth here in AZ, but I'll be right there with you next year once we move!

Haha!! I am also revolting! Indiana and I need a little time apart to figure things out. While I'm in Gulf Shores, I hope Indiana decides to get his act together by the time I return!

Seriously. I can't deal with this weather anymore. Yesterday I was out in a light jacket walking the dogs. And tonight it's supposed to snow. I hate hate hate it. Hate.

Whitney @ EHFAR said...

Hehehe :-) It is supposed to be in the 70s this entire week. I just hope it doesn't rain!

EstheticGoddess said...

Oh hey, I may need to try this too! I am desperate to go outside or open all the windows in the house! Today it was actually 64 degrees! Yay! However it's cloudy with 30 mph wind gust and a storm on the way :(

Jennifer Prod said...

oh gosh, i love this - now i'm actually *hoping* that spring doesn't come just to see how clever you revolt :)

Out here in the Pacific Northwest we have just come to accept that we won't see nice weather until July. Sigh...

LOOOOOOL I love that you had this basic picture and then suddenly, boom, crazy leggins. Your posts read like really hilarious movies. I love them.

The weather is being a little tempermental, no? It was raining all weekend for us. It was so nice today, though, and I hope it stays! FINGAHS CROSSED!

And I kind of adore those leggins with the cobalt shorts. It works, girl. It totally works ;]

W've had our taste of Spring already. I hope your tactics work! As a true dress fanatic, thinking about all your dresses hanging in your closet unworn makes me sad. xo
