Sarah concocted an elaborate wedding ceremony for these two love-bears, with MaryGrace's help on technical matters.
Valentina's wedding look was composed of tissues, fresh flowers, and a tiara.
There was an elaborate ceremony, which included Sarah delivering a short lesson on wedding traditions inherent to bear culture, including the fact that male bears receive wedding necklaces instead of wedding rings. The vows that Snowball and Valentina spoke to each other included the line, "I vow to love you in sickness and in madness and in stressness and sadness."
The unity candle ceremony is very important in bear weddings, we also learned.
Sarah also led the traditional toast: "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaam SIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing"
(Performed at every Chinese Malaysian wedding we've attended, and also, of course, performed at my own wedding)
The wedding cake consisted of slices of white bread, buttered and sugared and rolled up, formed into a pile, covered with sprinkles and an Ariel figurine on top. I'm not sure anyone was actually brave enough to taste the concoction, so I have yet to hear any reviews on its taste.
The newlywed couple rode off in their specially decorated getaway car, as portrayed by "Roast Beef", our family's rocking horse. And, no, I don't know why it's called Roast Beef, but it's been in the family for probably 8 or 9 years and it's always been called Roast Beef, so we must accept it.
And Snowball and Valentina lived happily ever after.

When I was a kid, all of the performances that I put on for my family either involved Bible stories, evil genius inventors, or pirates. I can't remember ever putting on a wedding!
Did you or your siblings every put on shows for your parents when you were growing up?

I love all her bear-wedding ideas! I used to put on magic shows, or a friend and I used to put on shows about little old ladies that endured some rather unfortunate events - I specifically remember acting as a lion while she acted the old lady.
I expected this to feature Angel as the bear, but this was just as good :)

My brother and I used to sell tickets to the neighbors for our backyard performances. I would usually dance, and my brother would do karate. Once I made him dress up in my costume and do a tap dance, but he likes to forget that one ever happened.
THis is so cute! I remember doing weddings. Me, my brother and cousins used to always perform plays for or parents. We did our own rendition of Little Orphan Annie once. And i do remember doing weddings a lot :)

Oh my goodness! This is so cute!! Your little sisters are so sweet, and you're so sweet to recap the wedding. Sounds like a wonderful time:) I remember making a lot of things as a kid with my brother and then trying to sell them to my parents. One time we created an assembly line to make finger protectors out of band-aids:) Being a kid is the best:)
Stinking adorable. I want to steal your little sister (in the least creepiest way possible) and hang out with her for a day. She sounds like a total kick.
My brother and I used to do "The Martha Stewart Show" when we had to do an unpleasant task like pick up dog poop. It made the task much more fun!

I love the bear wedding vows, and I wish I had a rocking horse named Roast Beef. I don't remember ever putting on performances for my family, but I definitely designed fancy outfits for my toys. The tissue paper wedding dress is right up my alley!
Aw, what a cutie. It's very refreshing to see that she's allowed to run with her imagination and show it to you and your parents freely. I love a kid's innocence and it's also fun to see what she thinks a wedding is all about. I don't know.. I might have tried a piece of that toast.. it doesn't look half bad..... ;)

My brothers and I used to do this all the time. One time - for a Nativity play at Christmas no less - I made my littlest brother be the little idiot. (In all fairness, he was too small to be Joseph and too big to be the baby and I apparently ran out of ideas after the main characters!)
