The Tsunami

The story of the tsunami that hit our island the day after Christmas, 2004, is one I've written before, so I won't be writing it again. However, it seems incomplete to share a series of stories about my coming of age in Malaysia without sharing this one. This is a part of my history, and, to a much larger extent, it's a part of the history of this region of the world. To understand the impact that the tsunami left on countless villages is to understand a small part of who the survivors are today.
