Big News! From Blogger to...

One of my family's favorite things to do together is to watch funny Youtube videos from our favorite channels. After one evening of funny videos, I started lamenting about how it sounded like so much fun to just make all of these goofy videos with a group of your best friends and why couldn't we do something like that.

So, we got up the next morning and made a channel, Seven In All, and shot and uploaded our first video.

We already have plans for a few more. My general plan at the moment is that the theme of the channel will be to take grains of truth from our own lives--little bits of the experience of growing up overseas and living in such a gigantic family, and dramatize them and somehow turn them into not-very-serious skits.

Over my three years as a blogger, I've grown a lot, and I expect to see a great deal of growth and skill building as we work to create videos for our channel. Now that I'm working with other people, I may no longer get to be known as One-Take Vlogger Rachel. That video you just saw, took 3 whole takes to make! That's real patience, y'all.

Or maybe I'm just excessively dramatic. Or maybe Youtube will teach me what patience truly is.

Please subscribe, and add us to your list of goofy youtubers, if you're willing to watch us grow. Who knows, we might even get mildly educational from time to time.

What are your favorite youtube channels? Any recommendations for me? I prefer the clean funny ones, in case you couldn't tell by the type of youtuber I decided to be...

How exciting! I've dipped my toes in the water on a few YouTube videos and even though it feels kinda awkward for me it's fun to express myself in a new way! I'm excited for all that is to come for you!

Oh Rachel! How exciting that you and your family are starting a YouTube channel! I'm subscribed! My current favorite Youtube comedy channel is Studio C. Your first video brought a smile to my face, and I'm looking forward to more!

Haha, this is so awesome! I understood the spanish and 我不知道, heehee. What other language(s) were there hiding in there?

A lot of it was Bahasa Malaysia, there was a little more Mandarin stuck in, along with Saranghae (Korean) and a quick Tamil phrase at the end. So, including English, 6 languages in all. There was supposed to be a Hokkien Chinese phrase too, but we meandered off script a little, haha!

I LOVE this!!:) What a wonderful video.:) I am so interested in reading more of your stories! I can probably find out by looking on your blog here but where are you guys based?
We have a pretty international family as well and speak English at home but also Norwegian and occasionally a bit of poor Spanish thrown in!
:)
I wish you success in your new endeavor! I can't wait to read more!:)

Ah, that's exciting! Subscribed and looking forward to seeing more from your channel! I have a couple friends who keep telling me I should start doing YouTube videos, but I am fairly awkward on camera, so I haven't jumped into that. I'll stick to watching other videos! :]

Haha love it! I just subscribed! Watching YouTube is one of our favorite things too. Actually just last night we were going through some Jimmy Fallon YouTube vids and my husband said "This is one of my favorite things to do. Watch random YouTube videos with you"

Congrats to on the channel. I used to make videos before blogging and have been strongly debating the write time to get back on as a blogger as well. Its great to cover multiple platforms but for me I have a few other checklist boxes to check off before I take that leap. Good luck! I'll be sure to check it out when I'm not at the office :)

I look forward to more youtube! My girls call it..."youtwo" I get it. If my girls tried youtube I'm pretty sure you'd see a lot of shots up the nose because the screen is like a mirror and nothing is cooler than seeing up your nose when you are six!

Haha this is awesome. I am a new subscriber! Can't wait to see what else you guys come up with! :) I wrote about my favorite YouTuber this week, actually :) Her name is Adriene and she teaches yoga. I also love Phillip DeFranco, but he does more liberal news stuff than humor.
