But you know it. You just want to know what your baby will look like. Angel's family shares a strong resemblance with each other and my family does as well. I'm going to assume that with our genes, dark eyes and dark hair that will grow into waves or curls are a given...but still, what exactly will the baby look like? I've been trying to find old baby photos of us to solve this mystery.
Angel's newborn photo:
So it looks like there's a chance baby won't be a baldy little baby. Here's me as a newborn, though I couldn't find my hospital photo:
So perhaps baby will be a sleepy type. I don't actually have access to most of our childhood photos, which are, of course, all stored back in the USA. But I did find one photo of Angel that made me aware that he hasn't changed all that much.
Looks like a very responsible big brother, no mischief indicated by that grin whatsoever, right? Right?
In fact, most of the baby photos I have access to are trapped in this slideshow of us growing up, which was played at our wedding. Practically required at weddings back in the day, though probably a bit out of fashion by now, I imagine. Watch the beginning to see photos alternating between us as infants--I'm the super pale one. ;)
I can't stop dreaming about what our baby is going to look like! I'm convinced they will have blonde hair and blue eyes. I am not sure why? LOL I mean my husband and had blonde hair as a child and my sister has blonde hair but my husband and I are both brunettes. When looking at my niece and my siblings there is a pretty heavy resemblance to my dad's side, so it'll be interesting to see if that is true for our baby or if the Murray side will shine through.
I never thought about what Reuben would look like and was utterly shocked when he popped out looking just like my husband and nothing like me. He now looks like me but it took a few months :P
Your baby is sure to be cute. So wonderful how genes intertwine to make a unique being.
My sister and I who share the same mom looked a lot alike in our baby pictures but growing up we don't look anything alike!
I think it's funny how all throughout our kids' lives, we've been told that one kid looks like another, or like my husband, or like me, and we've NEVER been able to see it. Except for or #6 who looks exactly like Phillip's baby pictures except with a thinner face.
It's funny, when my little guy was born all but two people said that he looked like me and not my husband, though I thought he had my husband's shape of eyes. But now, he looks so different than he did a year ago, when he was a small newborn! And he looks pretty much completely like me. I'm interested to see how his physical appearance changes and develops over time!
I think every parent has done this. I remember when Facebook had those little games going around when they would mush together two photos to tell you what the baby would look like. They alway looked so funny.
In my husband's family, they all look similar. In my family, we all look pretty different. My two girls are a very interesting mix of us. My husband and I come from different racial backgrounds, so one of my girls is pretty light, but the other looks mixed. Their facial features are the same, though. It's super fascinating!
I am pretty sure my kid will be bald for the first 2 years of their life based on my husband and I . LOL
Too funny about slideshows! We had one too (6.5 years ago), but you’re right: they are probably a bit out of fashion. Both of my kids got dimples, and R has Jordan’s deep brown eyes. Most of the comments I get about them say they BOTH look just like Jordan. Not fair!
It's so exciting to see you closer and closer to your due date! I also loved the slideshow haha--the cover image with "reserved" was too good.
"What will the baby look like?" is such a fun question to ponder, especially for interracial couples. My boyfriend is also from a different background than mine, so it's also been fun to imagine what our kids might look like (I've done many a google search of "Chindian babies"--Chinese and Indian haha). I can't wait to see what your little treasure will look like!
Sending the best <3

The genes run strong in both your families - I have no doubt whatever baby looks like, it will be ADORABLE
